Tomorrow, 13th of April 2014, history will be made when Lakes hit the pitch for the first competitive home match in the clubs history.
MLSC has come a long way in less than a year, and the side will be looking to build on recent promising performances to claim their first league victory in only their second game. The club will be fired up to put on a good show for their home fans.
Athelstone meanwhile have the honor of being the first club to visit Pelican Park after scoring 5 against Aldinga but unfortunately still losing the game by conceding 8.
Can Mawson Lakes capitalize on the Stone’s seemingly lucklustre defence or will Athelstone rectify last weeks mistakes and tighten up at the back? Time will tell.
To celebrate this exciting and momentus occasion, MLSC club sponsors Kamikazee Disposals have donated a remote control helicopter, valued at $200, to be raffled off at the games.Tickets are $5 or you can triple your chances by purchasing three for $10.
As always, BBQ sausages and drinks will be served up and the playground will be ready for the youngsters.
All Mawson Lakes residents and supporters are encouraged to come out and support their local club in this historic match. The future looks very exciting indeed.
